Granted funds will be transferred to the department of the LU applicant after submission of the final report.

Application guidelines
The application must be submitted by the LU researcher through the LU application portal and shall include:

  • Aim of the collaboration
  • Description and timeline of the activities for which funding is applied
  • Letter of interest from the researcher at the partner university (e-mail is sufficient)
  • CV of each of the researchers (LU and partner university).

Key assessment criteria

  • Quality and feasibility of planned activities
  • Strategic value of the research collaboration
  • Sustainability of collaboration: potential for subsequent larger research/collaboration projects and/or to generate external funding.

Priority will be given to applications that clearly demonstrate the potential impact of the proposed activity, that involve or plan to involve organisations other than universities from the broader research and innovation eco-system of one or both partner universities, and to applicants that have not previously received Get Started and/or GloHub Funding.

New collaborations will be prioritised. Established collaborations must show how they will continue to develop, for example, by defining a new research direction in order to be considered.

The assessment is conducted by representatives from the Lund University Division of Global Engagement. Please use language that is appropriate for evaluators who may not have specialist knowledge in the scientific field of your project. Focus should be on the collaborative aspects of the project, rather than the research itself.
