Information about the study
We are two students in the psychology undergraduate program at Lund University and this survey is conducted as part of our bachelor`s thesis.
The purpose of this study is to explore how gamers reason about their behaviors in online multiplayer game contexts.
We therefore invite you to fill out this survey. It is estimated to take 8–10 minutes to complete.
To participate in the study, you have to be at least 18 years old and play an online multiplayer game that allows for communication via text and/or voice chat. The term “online multiplayer game” refers to any kind of digital game that is played online with one or more other players.
There are no direct risks associated with this study. However, please note that some individuals might feel mild discomfort when reflecting about some types of behavior in online multiplayer games. Such feelings of discomfort can be compared to the level of discomfort that one might feel in everyday life when reminded about something that one has experienced before. If you believe that you are highly sensitive to the type of reflections described here, you are advised to abstain from participating in this study.
Your participation is completely voluntary, and you may withdraw at any time without completing the survey. Your responses are anonymous and will be treated confidentially and used solely for academic purposes. It will not be possible to identify any individual participant in the collection of data or analyses.
We would greatly appreciate your honest input and experiences.
